Physical Education

Across the school students follow the national curriculum for their age group. In Key Stage 2 students follow a broad and balanced curriculum, which includes football, netball, tennis, rounders, gymnastics, dance, athletics and orienteering, leadership and fitness. In Key Stage 3 students will also study badminton, basketball, parkour/vaulting, and cross country running.

Teaching British Values

PE helps to prepare our students for British life by showing them that winning and success is not made from medals or money. They need to see that, determination, resilience, aspiration and a strong self-belief will get them to where they want to be.

In Year 6 all students are encouraged to take part in the residential visit to Chasewater Outdoor Education Centre to experience a range of adventurous activities including canoeing, sailing, climbing, abseiling, archery and off road biking.

We use our Sports Premium funding to provide an increased range of extra-curricular and enrichment activities for our students. For example, the Key Stage 3 visit to Urbantrix in Birmingham, as well as buying in specialist dance coaches etc..
